about

Like most of the work on this page, these are tracks that are made in the interstices of work related activities. They are a way of making non-freedom time shift into a zone that is something other. The difficulty is to undertake this transformation without any dialectic that would tragically transform the time of creativity and life into a sublimated prison--a glorified, perpetual time of work. Bataille and Beuys figure in An Empty Place Without a Site as ciphers of that difficulty and the tradition which we join in attempting to work through these very difficult circumstances.
